1997 1998 Dodge Dakota Fuel Filler Neck - Gas Tank Pipe - Hoses

I have a '97 Dodge Dakota with the 4.0L engine. We have some idiot tree rats in the area that will chew on anything, including fuel tank filler hoses.
I purchased this kit to replace what the squirrels damaged on my truck, and it fit the bill pretty well. The only reason I deducted a star was because the vent hose supplied was thick wall high pressure fuel pump hose, definitely overkill for this application. It absolutely would not slip over the ridge on the fuel tank fitting. Thinner wall tubing likely would have slipped over the ridge and been fine for the purpose.
Also, the clamps for the filler hose were one size too large at 2-3/4 inch minimum. While they did work, the had to be tightened to the maximum. One size down would have been better.
Overall, I was satisfied with the product and would recommend it to others.

This product fit my truck to a "T" however a fuel cap was included with the order that did not fit, when I called about the issue I was told that they did not come with the neck, I think that even if the cap is not included in the price you should charge for the cap so it comes ready to install, I had to go to the auto parts store which is not convenient, good product though

Ordered this to replace the rusted out California emissions filler neck worked well even with a body lift installed and hoses where high quality larger diameter was silicone , smaller was a rubber hose which was gates wish both where silicone but all in all better the I expected

Message from owner: Kevin actually the hose was not made of silicone. You would not want Silicone hose. Silicone hoses do NOT hold up to gasoline. Other company's would be happy to tell you that it would. What you got was actual fuel fill hose. this insures it will actually last. Thanks again.
